Ways to make a direct impact
Funding research and support for PD is one of the ways we can all make a difference in this space. I’ve selected two organizations to help support:
Michael J Fox is a legend and needs no introduction. His foundation is the premier funder of PD research, globally. In addition to raising billions of dollars, they go for a knockout every year, spending most of what they raise to get to a cure quickly. I love this energy, and via Team Fox, 100% of your donations go to research, which is awesome. More to come soon on some specific fundraising activities in 2027!
The American Parkinson’s Disease Association (APDA) does patient advocacy and support across a variety of events and domains. In my case, the Northwest chapter was one of the initial resources which I got in touch with when I got diagnosed and played a key role in supporting my journey at multiple junctures.
